Artist Comments: The image is based on Colonial Park Cemetery in Savannah at just before dusk. The cemetery is home to many Revolutionary and Civil War officers. The goal of this painting is to capture the particular light of that time of day and the romance of the city with the lamp lights, spanish moss and rose colored azaleas behind the gate. This image does not due the painting justice.
